Good paper, great format

Super useful form factor and dot grid is great. I use it for ad hoc todo lists and notes, as overflow from planner, as well as great for quick notes on calls/meetings.

Enjoying

I really am enjoying the tear off pads, I have been using the pads everyday

A Key part of must have on my work desk

The pad and in particular the paper feel good to write on, but the size and design and layout fit my immediate "I need a piece for paper for a note" needs perfectly. Of course I have my leagal pad for more details notes, but most things this fits what I need.

Shows off ink qualities, similar to Cosmo Air

I got this in standard blank and pocket dotted. The second first two photos here are swatches of my inks with a glass dip pen. There is no bleed through for most writing, except for places where you can see I put down A LOT of ink. The first photo is the back of a to-do list I wrote with a regular flow fountain pen (Kaweco Sport Fine tip with Vinta Inks Harlequin) and there is no bleed-through. No feathering in any cases.

The paper reminds me more of Cosmo Air but with more writing feedback, not quite as glossily smooth. I like both. Shading and sheening does look gorgeous on this paper. Vinta Inks Harlequin has so much sheen that on Tomoe River 52 gsm it just looks like green sheen, but on regalia paper it has a beautiful balance of the deep purple color with the green sheen.

Similar to Cosmo Air, however, I have to be careful of touching the paper too much before writing. I find that where I put down finger oils on the paper, the ink will not lay down consistently (essentially the oil repelling the water in the ink).

I'll be happy to buy these again, they show off my inks very nicely and I use these sheets to tape into my project noteboooks to-do lists or key information that don't have anywhere else to go.

Great landscape orientation

The pad is a nice size and I like the landscape orientation of the pad. The Regalia paper is good for sheening and shading ink but it does take a little longer for the ink to dry than Tomoe River 52gsm paper which has been my go to paper for fountain pen ink testing. The coating on the paper is a little rougher than Tomoe River giving more feedback when writing. For me I found this to be a plus as I find Tomoe River a little too slick for writing, your results may vary. Even though the notepad was shrink wrapped the pad was disconnected from the backing card when unwrapped.

Overall, I’d give this notepad a 8.5 OUT OF 10 for the paper and a 3 OUT OF 10 for the condition that the notepad arrived.

Testimonials

I’m quite impressed with the Endless Recorder notebook. I appreciate the extra touches, such as the Table of Contents and the page numbers. I prefer its white 68gsm Tomoe paper over cream, especially for ink swabbing.

Given the slimmer profile and general absence of bulk, these notebooks would also make excellent travel journals. Since the pages are numbered, this notebook could also easily be converted into a bullet journal.
